I'm sure i'll be surprised with whatever company ends up signing on with her. Sure they'll make money. Sure some affiliates will promote the new site. But the company that does it ... will end up alienating themselves with a large group of affiliates and loyal friends of lightspeed / lightspeed media.
like FTVCash, if contacted steve, we won't touch it!!
I don't think your severance offer was unreasonable. I don't know that there is a right answer. If you feel like her working on a new venture will definately cost you more than the severance package then it's something you need to keep entertaining. In that case, it behooves you to keep her sidelined. The longer you do the more she ages, and as drinking hard mentions maybe she backs on the pounds and loses her appeal.
if it makes sense to do ... make her an offfer that covers her cost of living (bills and spending money).
But even if you make her the best severance offer you can... there is still a better than average chance she's still going to turn it down. She's got dollar signs in her eyes. always has from the sound of things. and it sounds like she's got the "grass is greener on the other side of the fence" bug that has been going around =)
