wait. did she quit or did you terminate her? if either were the case in washington you could challenge her unemployment benefit request. sounds like you made her an offer and she said it wasn't enough money... so she is choosing to be unemployed... which would disqualify her for unemployment benefits.

I don't know if that's the same in AZ. but hell steve... you're being too nice of a guy if you think your rates should go up to help this girl out at this point ... when she's threatening to go work for any competitor that takes her
