Ouch. If she knows that her receiving unemployment is going to increase your rates (which is going to cost you more than the severence in the long term) after all you have done for her...man, that is just cruel. Is she using that as leverage with you?

If you want to do right by her, then that is a personal thing. Business wise, I do not think you have any further obligation to her financially. Everyone knows your reputation and you have definately gone above and beyond with your models. Cutting her off now will have no ill effects on your reputation.

Damn unemployment.

For the rest of us, keep your pimp hand strong! I don't want to have to start kicking out severance pay as an industry standard
