are you talking as far as attracting the Google Gorilla's search engine traffic?
I think whatever the answer is, it's a better business decision in the long run to have your blog on your own domain. The domain will go up in value as your blog gets se traffic and bookmarkers and you will own 100% of it rather than being blogspot's bitch
