Asked whether ransom was paid, Agriculture Minister Giovanni Alemanno said it was "very probable." An Iraqi politician, Younadem Kana, said he had "nonofficial" information that $1 million was paid, Italy's Apcom news agency reported, although that could not be confirmed.
Nice. A chick working for a communist newspaper just handed over $1 million to a bunch of fucking terrorists.
This is why the US doesn't deal with these fuckers. This chick gave them more money than they've seen in a lifetime and the encouragement to do it again; The US would just say "have fun, and we'll continue to hunt you down like squealing pig until the day you die".
