Friendlies is relative to you, so if you are Italian, Americans are friendlies.
Every bullet can be traced.
Keep in mind though that some amunitions used can be easily purchased by anyone, so even though someone is riddled with "American" bullets, it does not automatically mean that the bullets were fired from an "American" soldier
