If there have been suspensions in the NFL for steroids, I haven't heard about them and I follow football fairly closely. There certainly haven't been any on the Colts. Have any stars been suspended for this in the past 5 years? Maybe I just missed it.
Ya the Colts will never win anything because of Manning's salary, they can't afford to pay good defensive players, you can't win the Superbowl win you score 50 points a game and give up 51.

I am a very healthy 27 year old (was 26 at the time) with excellent blood pressure, low cholesterol, good heart, I exercise for at least an hour a day and take good care of myself and I had a stroke from exhaustion last summer. It would not be out of the realm of unordinary for someone with as crazy a schedule as playing in the Superbowl after going through a long rough season, (beating the Colts twice ) special appearances and raising several young kids to be somewhat exhausted and maybe overstressed and overworked. Not to mention if I remember correctly the actual first reports said he was also suffering from a case sever flu at the time.

And yes players are suspended for all types of substance abuse at a pretty alarming rate. Most of the time you have to go through the league sources to actually find out the nature of substance, not something they like to advertise obviously, but sometimes the teams will be forthcoming as to if its steroid or other drug related. I honestly don't remember going a week this past season without hearing someone being suspended for something or other, but as I mentioned before they will literally suspend you for even the slightest trace of something illegal (illegal in the NFL is also very strict, you can be suspended for taking some suppliments you can buy right off the shelf at the grocery store).
