what i did was start sending traffic to the site I wanted to trade with. it's hard to ignore if it's several thousand hits a day. (i.e. 5K plus uniques)
EVERYONE I did that with traded back with me, some took a week, some took a year, but I got those I wanted to trade with by that method. And I didn't even tell them I was sending the traffic, I just started sending it. It didn't matter if they told me that they didn't want any new trades or such, I knew that once they saw the quality of my traffic over a sustained period of time and that I was a stand up guy they would EVENTUALLY come around and send some traffic back.
Now a days people icq oe email me and tell me I have to start trading with them FIRST since THEY want the trade with me and that's how their script works. those requests pretty much ALWAYS go in the garbage.
