contrary to most peoples beliefs there is a huge number of gun owners in Canada. You just have to go through security checks before you can get the license to make sure you don't have any criminal or psycological problems. Also we are allowed to own hand guns up here but the barrel just has to be 4 inches or longer so that it's not easily concealed and it can't be an automatic. Those are the only major differences I can think of. Oh, we are not allowed to own guns such as a .50 cal(wish I could) or flame throwers and such.
