Oh, and if there's wisdom in being drunk, you forgot to mention it.

Some people are idiots no matter how old they are, and their opinions grow as their personality does, and it shows.
As for insurance tables, this would also state that women are better drivers than men, so you cannot base comments on what your insurance salesman tells you your rate is based on your age, does that mean a student with an A drives better than a student with a D? Insurance gives discounts for many irrelevant things...
I didnt say there was any wisdom in being drunk, being an AA member I know the value of going without a drink, as hard as the first 30 were. but it has been 2 years, and at half your age I can say i dont really regret drinking the way I did , if anything what I went through made me grow up a tad bit sooner than some of my friends, whom are still "wasting away..."
I think you should share your knowledge instead of trying to put younger people in their place... it would come off different. Cant you see how bitter you sound? Or did you wake up from a 30 year binge and want to take it out on those who are still destroying their lives? Be part of the solution man instead of a grumpy old problem...
I know of more than 10 people who have died from drugs in the last 10 years of my life, that is experience.
