thats your problem, you get a ton more energy when you work out. i dont know about running, but when i run+lift weights i sleep more, but when i'm awake i have a ton more energy. if you're going to sit at a computer all day you wont have any energy, and i doubt any energy bars will change that very much. start out slow and do like 15 minutes of cardio to start. you dont have to run, you could do jumping jacks or whatever you want, just get your heart rate up to about 140 or so for about 15 minutes. try doing this once a day and you will see a huge energy increase.
