The USA are doing very well at soccer but they are a very long way from winning it and where as the US loves a winner. The idea of them getting their arses whooped on home soil every four years would be too much for Americans to take. Hell it would be too much for us English to take and we are used to it.
You did know it was every four years and not every year as in your post?
