There is a difference between someone who is stupid and someone who is ignorant.
The stupid people just lack knowledge.
The ignorant people lack knowledge and do not understand the world around them.
Ignorant people do not realize they are stupid.
Here is a good way to tell.
If you try to explain something to a stupid person, they will try to follow instructions, but fall short.
If you try to explain something to an ignorant person, they will instead begin explaining their version to you and blame you when they fall short.
