I have the Apple 23" and they are great if you get a good one. They are notorious for having a pink color shift and uneven backlighting.

Check out the Apple display support forums at http://discussions.info.apple.com/ . Make sure you try the unit before you buy.

That said, you haven't lived until you have played Counterstrike on a 23" display.
