DarkJedi, if I took all your wordly possessions, all your culture and identity, stripped it from you and threw you in the middle of a new world, with new language and lifestyle.. and ZERO respect from anyone... i'd love to see how fast you adapt.

Blacks in America have only been getting a "fair" (I use this term very loosely) shake in education for about... 50 years. Today, you can still go to inner city schools and see old textbooks, horrible learning environments and underqualified teachers. I won't even go into the discrimination by colleges.

So, the advancements of blacks in america by its very nature would have to be slow.

You can't ask a slave race to break their backs to help build america to what it is today so you can even make that kind of post,... then ... 150 years later get mad at them because "they aint shit". How could you expect them to be? It's very hard to develop wealth and success when your grandfather or grandmother pass on to you after they die, absolutely nothing. When you have no credit, no credentials, no collateral, ... even pure education is sometimes not enough in this world you need money, or people who'd be willing to give you money.

AlexG's post about the lack of need for innovation to survive is a pretty common theory in my view and I do think it's poignant. BUT, I'd like to point out these few things.

So many African nations have been invaded by other countries outside of Africa that, well it'd be really tough to advance technologically and socially through tough oppression.

Africans aren't the main beneficiairies of their own natural resources, therefore never generate huge amounts of wealth which in turn could be used to advance society.

Sure, there are diseases in Africa and they can't contain them, however diseases have been common throughout the history of mankind - would it be fair to say white people were inferior people because the bubonic plague wiped out a ton of people in europe?



At the heart of the matter there is no such thing as inferior races. We're all humans, there are smart africans and dumb whites, there are smart whites and dumb asians. If you can accept what role enviroment plays on people then you can accept that fact that its tough to get out the ghetto, maybe you can develop some respect for the people who have to live there and be very happy that you don't have to struggle.
