but, i gotta tell ya, this black cat shit (no disrespect to your story -- i'm sure it happened as you described) -- but to fixate on a short list of "traditional symbols" -- cats, ladders, mirrors, etc -- is a bad idea. i think it gives people a false sense of security -- like: "well, if i keep my eyes open for... [
looks at the list in his notebook, mutters items to himself] ...i should be FINE." it doesn't work that way -- i think it's better to keep your eyes WIDE open for ANYTHING -- (even if it means you have a little more anxiety in your life) -- than to be on the lookout for just a coupla things -- in the worst of cases, you don't see the 747 that's coming towards your house, and in the mildest occasions, you miss some cool shit that happens in the universe --
