THREAD
There's still a little grumbling/lack of understanding out there, it seems.
I hear things like "Why do we have to pay to get the benefits of this stay..." etc.
I thought about it this morning, and spoke to some people who've helped me understand it better.
Usually, when there's a large number of individuals (or companies) who fnd themselves having to address a common legal challenge, they have to either pursue their own defense (with an associated cost) or assemble into a Class (which also costs money and takes time).
In both scenarios you're not only looking at money, but also uncertainty of outcome.
$300 does not seem like very much money to me to become a beneficiary of the FSC's (et al) efforts, and to get yourself on a list that, at the very least, is providing you with an immediate benefit --
