I disagree with your point, you are who you believe yourself to be, no matter the situation and no matter what others may think. I am sure you can reflect into your own relationships and experiences, of people and situations that may not be saints, of good people who do bad things, of bad people who do good things, and bad people who cannot change.
You may have these people as friends, as acquaintances, as people who you invite to your home, as people you do business with.. no one is perfect, but what matters is that they have not wronged you.
Words like honor and integrity mean alot to me, but my honor and my integrity are not tainted by those whom my elbows rub against, if anything my hope is that their lives are bettered by the encounter.
