This would be my response.
Dear Mr. Rice,
In response to your email of 'The Date', we have taken note of the transaction and our accounting department will trace and investigate it. Being a responsible company, we will reimburse the amount charged for membership to our site. Should there be any additional bank charges, we feel it is your responsibility to reimburse those fees.
Our billing system is in place to collect payment for services AND to prevent minors from accessing our site. Your child, learning disabled or not, broke the law in two occasions. 1) He used a credit card which did not belong to him nor was he authorized to make purchases with it and proceeded to fulfill the transaction, this is credit card fraud. 2) Each time he accessed our site/s, he electronically signs and SWEARS/AFFIRMS that he is over the legal age in his community to access adult oriented material.
If we were to take this further, your son Cameron and yourself may be held responsible by leaving him unsupervised at the computer and by giving easy access to a credit card, hence gaining access to a porn website. There are special programs designed to prevent such occurences from happening, CyberPatrol, NetNanny, SurfWatch to name a few.
A payment by cheque will be issued to resolve this matter and it will be a full and final payment from our company. We trust this to be to your satisfaction and remain,
Sincerely,
LightSpeed & Co.
