Internext and AVN Expo, Vegas '06. 2 shows at the same time... Here's why.

In January 2006, the Internext and AEE (AVN Expo) trade shows will both be located at the Sands Expo (Venetian) and run through (almost) the same dates.

Internext will run January 5-7.
AEE will run January 5-8.

The two shows will be held in separate halls that are very near to each other.

Feedback about these shows over the years, and specifically from last year?s show has varied considerably. Some people have pushed for the shows to be combined entirely into one, while others have expressed a preference to keep them as separate as possible. The one common interest, however, is in finding a way to bring Internext Exhibitors and Attendees more business opportunites.

Traditional adult brick and mortar businesses still clearly present a huge opportunity for expansion of the online/ new technology adult marketplace. The reality is that a large number of these businesses still don?t fully understand our marketplace and do not take full advantage of it. Many people in these businesses haven?t attended Internext in the past because it wasn?t convenient for them to do so and was a little overwhelming. Many of these businesses are not at all familiar with (for example) who the best hosting companies are and how to define that, how to best monetize traffic, how to take their content into the mobile marketplace? and so on.

Internext has been placed next to AEE (they all have to pass the Internext show to get to AEE) in order to encourage the growth of opportunities in both marketplaces. AEE show materials will include information and pointers about Internext and online/ new tech opportunities. There will also be a stronger push toward new technology in the AEE seminar program.

Exhibitors at each will have access to both shows, in order to encourage and facilitate business discussions. There will be special deals on badges to attend both shows.

For those few companies who have previously exhibited at both shows (and now face a logistical challenge) I encourage you to pick one show over the other for your exhibit, if you can. This isn?t about forcing people to rent and staff two booths. It will be challenging? I agree.

The venue will be crowded, as will the hotel. I encourage all concerned about that to book rooms early through Rose Tours (or anyone else with special rates).

Yes, the event will be really, really busy? Mayhem possibly!
(?but it might just create a few more business opportunities for those who attend.)

Let the ranting begin...! >>>>>>
