IMO, a portal is a site that doesn't fit snugly into the categories like linklist, tgp, etc.
The reason I am asking is because I am putting
www.jackoffjunction.com together, and it's a hybrid with a TGP, a linklist, some free galleries, and once I get the front end finished, I'm putting in a back end that will offer registered members a communuty of sorts. It doesn't fit anything I've ever heard described, so portal seems to do it. *grin*
I was just curious how other people were defining and implementing their portals.
