Very true. Most of the people who don't want the Euro here in the UK are old conservative cronies who remember 'the good old days' before we even went to decimalization. The younger generations are already getting used to the Euro and finding it easier to use. It is very handy to be able to get on a ferry to the mainland and be able to drive between countries without having to stop at a Bureau de Change. Within the next 10 years or so (at the longest) the UK will join Europe in the Euro.

You need to get out of Boston and come live in my neck of the woods. $240,000 (roughly £160,000) would get you a nice 3 bedroom house with a 1/4 acre of land in a nice neighbourhood 'round here.
