XBox360 launches in less than 90 says. PS3 is at least a year away...maybe two. That's gonna be a tough one to win.

Good points. Both systems will do well mainly because there are established game franchises that are exclusive to them.
Examples:
For the PS3, I need to own one simply so I can play future Gran Turismo and Solid Snake titles.
On the Xbox, I need to own one simply to play future Halo and a few other smaller titles.
Both win. But Sony has pinned themselves in a corner by being not only late, but likely +$100 higher in price at the same timeframe for the same package next June (PS3 launch month). That's going to be a stiff kick in the balls for them the first six months but once their exclusive franchises ship later that year they'll be fine.
