Yo, you guys have no idea what this breakthrough means. To go faster than light is supposed to be an impossibility. Now it ain't.
Makes me think of that Star Trek episode about Zephram Cochran the man who invented warp drive. He was supposed to do that in 2060+ AD. Seemed a bit too far fetched at first but now with this discovery it don't.
The changes in computer processing and communications alone will be astounding to say the least.
If we can beat this problem, nothing is an impossiblity.
If we can hold off from blowing ourselves up we can really make life a paradise.

you do know that light does not travel the same speed in air, water, glass, etc when compared to a vacuum right?
u can control the speed of light just by making it go thru another medium
thats why light bends in water, it goes slower in water than air
