So, last night I went to
D-Money's Players Get Together and I brought Ariel.
Now, Ariel had never been on a motorcycle before, so I had to do simple things like help her put her helmet on the first couple of times. But she seemed to be doing okay, considering her first experience was cutting traffic thru the LA freeway system.
Once we arrived at the get together, let's just say that she started having a good time, and by the end of the evening was slightly buzzed. I was a little concerned about the ride home, but figured I would keep an eye on her.
As we were blasting down the freeway I noticed she was moving around a lot, and I kept asking her if she was okay. She assured me she was.
At one point she almost had her head on my lap and when I looked down I noticed her helmet was not on. I figured it was hanging off her neck or something, so I took the next offramp to check things out, only to discover the helmet was gone! and she could not even begin to tell me where she lost it.
I was slightly irritated as I had just purchased it on Thursday, and she was the first person to even wear it.
I tied her up and we rode home.
At the get together, Abyss Al had invited me to a
barbecue and he lives in the same general area, so I was on the same freeway. I figured on the way home I would see if I could spot the helmet on the side of the freeway or something.
Anyway, I am riding home, in the slow lane, checking out the side of the road, and no helmet. This did not surprise me considering I had no idea where it was lost, so I said screw it and immediately blasted over to the fast lane and started to crank it on, when to my surprise, sitting in the center divider . . . .
