I was away from the office a little late today due to me staying late at the office yesterday.

Spam complaints go directly to my email box so none of my other staff were aware of it, and it seems this guy really started to hit us hard early this morning.

We terminated this guy yesterday, but the way our system was designed was that it would still goto the gateway even if the account was deleted. We were hoping that as soon as the guy checked his stats, he would stop spamming us.

And the complaints did stop for a little bit last night. As soon as I left the office around 5 am though, I guess the shit really hit the fan because this guy started right back up...this not promoting the html link directly...not the cgi.

Him including the html link made it much more difficult for us to 404 the spam traffic, but we managed to do it.

Since he was sending the traffic directly to an html page, we have reasons to believe that this was almost a sort of DOS attack on us.

All of his traffic is going to the following url:

http://www.candidclicks.com/spammer.html

From now any, any illegal spams will be 404ed immediately.
