You are right, it is disheartening to see the lack of manners so many display these days.
Pretty sad when people are not even brought up to say please and thank you. A big pet peeve of mine is when i thank someone only to hear the reply 'umm hum'.
Whatever happened to 'you're welcome' ? Etiquette people please!
