Sending best wishes for a speedy recovery.

This is yet ANOTHER example of why people should have at the very least a catastrophic health insurance plan even if it has a high deductible. $100 or so a month could have kept her from needing donations or losing whatever she's worked for if she doesn't get enough to pay the bills.

As others have pointed out, this would also be under a workman's comp coverage. Let's hope whomever she was working for carries that and/or has the money to cover her bills.

I really hope things go well with her!
