Sites belonging to publically-traded companies aren't "owned" by individuals, but shareholders. Obviously the person with the greatest amount of control would likely be the CEO:
Yahoo - Terry Semel
Google - Eric Schmidt
eBay - Margaret Whitman
But you're right...
most people don't know the names behind the big corps (other than knowing Semel @ Yahoo...I had to google the other two).
