God, what a bunch of whiny bastards you guys are.
I spent fifteen years as a stockbroker, I don't know how many people I cold called but it has to be an astronomical number. You get better at it as you go on....but it is an essential part of the business. If you can't do it, you are gone in two weeks.
I always figured people are buying stocks from someone, it ought to be me. Actually, the ones that get mad at you, are the easiest to turn and sell, for the record. You just have to know the technique.
It kinda like people who have "no solicitors" pasted on thier front door.....they don't want solicitors because they buy every fucking thing someone ever offers them. When I had an appointment at a nice house with a "no solicitors" sign on it, I would start planning my next vacation...unless the siding salesman beat me there first.
