how should I cut them up? Into 20 second blocks? would that be too short and frustrate the member? Should the movies be longer?

I dont want to host 1 long movie because i think the bandwith would kill me if the site got popular.

also what format? I think .wmv is the lightest, is that a good format or is that not universal enough?

it's exclusive content so i have to host it myself.
