I dont want to host 1 long movie because i think the bandwith would kill me if the site got popular.
also what format? I think .wmv is the lightest, is that a good format or is that not universal enough?
it's exclusive content so i have to host it myself.

Hi,
From my own experience: My movies are from 30s to 5 minutes long. I try to keep them in one 'piece of action' and try not to divide them (and try to have this in mind while recording them LOL). But sometimes it doesn't work so I cut them movie into smaller pieces (based on scenes) so it is under 15MB or something.
Now I convert into 2 formats: Windows Media and Real Media (for me they have comparable quality). Thought about Quicktime, too but my members were not interested.
Judging by number of downloads: 70% (or little more) is Windows Media versions, the rest Real Media.
