Turkey (99,7% muslims) had a female president a while ago, more than you can say for most western countries.
And how many muslims do you know personally? I know quite a few, and they are basically normal people.
You seem to make your judgements based on what you see on television and read in the newspapers. Now, obviously, that is a dumb way to judge people. Do you really think they show the hundreds of millions of normal muslim people? Thosen aren't news, only the fundamentalists are (and, really, most muslims aren't fundamentalists).
