Open the briefcase and (important!) leave the numbers set to 0-0-0. Look at the inside of the lock. You'll find one of three things- what appears to be a solitary screwhead, a small lever to the side or a hole.[list=1][*]Screwhead, turn it 90 degrees, reset the numbers to the new combination and turn the screw back to the original position.[*]Lever, push and hold the lever while resetting the combination, then return lever to original position.[*]Hole, same as lever, but insert a straightened paperclip into the hole to push the concealed lever.[/list=1]
Main thing to remember is to make sure that the dials are still set to 0-0-0 before resetting! Otherwise, the result may be anyone's guess after the action.
