Thanks. If you ever to download a song thinking that was the new U2 song and hear a hizzing sound, well i wrote some of the code to spam the P2P system that is used by a major provider now. So I know what I am talking about.

The problem with P2P networks is that every one is different, just pick the one you want to work with and then look at the layer7 level. Their are some good software that can filter laywer 7 traffic and parse it out, so you do not have to meddle the server.
