The bricks you speak of are red and not painted. you still dont account for the lack of windows and the 20ft gap.
Also, After looking at the other pic posted, I think the answer may be this:
The picture may in fact be from somewhere at the pentagon site, but that it is not a picture of the point of impact. There was extensive damage that penetrated through 3 rings of a massive building and its clear the the damage around the whole (the charred bricks) is from an internal fire.
I maintain vehemently that this is NOT a picture of the impact site at the pentagon.
