Customer Service

Have any of you ever tried to use a customer service line at Dell?

I have to say i'm not impressed. I worked for them for years, and today i had to call customer service to try and get a notebook fixed. ridiculous. i was on hold for an hour and a half, when i got through it took another half an hour to get anything done. Seems like i'm complaining about nothing, but after all that work i still got shit done. the guy didn't give me any of the information i needed to give to the people who will fix the laptop. And they refuse to start work until i have some silly number, meanwhile who is losing money????so i try to call back and solve the issue...i can't help you call customer service...and wait for another hour and a half...i think not.


so although i previously said that Dell was a great company i now feel that you should shop around alot more. i mean if your servers go down do you really want to be calling a company that could care less about you? and has absolutely zero customer support? I think Compaq makes excellent high end servers anyway so why not give them a call...fuck Dell
