Jews have no problems doing business outside their religion, so long as they are screwing you or getting the best end of the deal. But with their own it is very frowned upon to make a profit out of each other. You're there to help fellow Jews. How do you think Israel pays for all it's weapons? Orange juice does not buy a lot of guns. Jews in the US send millions to a country they have never been to because it is their "Home Land"

Clannishness is not an exclusively Jewish thing. It is just that Americans resent clannishness.
I think American Jews are quite a bit different from European or Israeli Jews. In my 55 years, I've known quite a few Jewish people, and intermarriage was not uncommon at all.
Also, the term "Jew" itself is ambiguous. Some people mean people who practice Judaism. Others refer to people who are ethnically Jewish, even if the person in question doesn't practice Judaism. For bigot, "Jew" means some guy who owns a bank.
Karl Marx wrote a book named "A World Without Jews," but he was referring to capitalists and bankers.
