GoFuckYourself Friends,
I?m coming to you guys with some bad news today. Our friend, Deepai was diagnosed with Adult Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (cancer of the blood) over the weekend. Deepai had shown a few of us a bruise on his arm that appeared to be spreading down his arm on Friday. Many of you know that he plays in a band and they had a show on Saturday night. He kept telling a few of us he was not feeling ?all there? and was feeling light headed. He played the show anyway (a great show). That night the he had pain in his arms that he described as being a ?10 out of 10.? Sunday he went to the hospital with his parents where he was diagnosed with Leukemia.
For those that don?t know what Leukemia is: his bone marrow is producing too many underdeveloped white blood cells and they are crowding out the good blood cells. This is a treatable disease and he is already in a specialist hospital here in Seattle. Because of his young age and the advancements in treatments, he has a very good chance of recovering from this new challenge in his life. He?s very positive about everything as he always is.
As of right now he?s being told he will need to undergo a month-long chemotherapy in the hospital. Some of it may be covered by state sponsored programs and some health insurance but this is likely to be a very expensive road he has to travel. Deepai himself is not a rich man. He is a musician and a video artist by trade. Many of you might have met him at one of the tradeshows. If you?ve ever meet him you would know that he is an immensely good hearted person. He?s the kind of guy that makes everyone smile and enjoys every minute of it. He?s the embodiment of rock-n-roll. Even if you haven?t ever met him, if you like true hearted rock-n-roll you would love this man.
So we are modestly asking for your help. Any donation to help him would be a great load off his family. I am one of Deepai?s best friends and I currently have $1.07 in my PayPal account. Every penny donated will be handed to him and his family to help pay for his treatment. Please help this brother out, he?s a good man and deserves it.
Thanks for your time in reading this. This is no joke and you are welcome to ask me any questions you may have about where the donations will be going.
