I agree. those who know what they're doing in adult, could do well in mainstream. and most probably vice-versa. same principles, different subject.
and yes - many people building a business in mlm don't focus on selling the product at all, their focus is getting people into the business and then getting them to autoship x amount of products each month so they qualify for commissions.
one big problem with mlm though is you spend all this time and money building an income, and it's based purely around one company.
many mlm companies go out of business for whatever reason, and if that happens suddenly you've no income. if you've thought ahead though, you contact all your downline asap and transfer them into a new deal.
I knew someone who was making $500k a year from one mlm company after pushing them for years, and then poof - they're out of business and his income goes to zero. if I remember right, the business wasn't even closed for financial reasons, but due to the owners/directors 'personal reasons'.
