It is really sad to see the States eating up the exact same marketing brainwashing that the UK did.

Let me guess..it was a really close contest..really down to the wire. They needed every last (premium rate) call to make a difference. Wow, amazing how that is the exact same thing happened in the UK version.

Now..let me gaze into my crystal ball and predict the future. A winner with a good voice is given series of cover songs to sing to follow their first double A side release (wow..sounds familar too). All are worse than the original and not really the best song for their voice. Then, within a couple weeks the runner up from the show has a release and a number one as well. Then..out the blue they do a duet and start touring together.

So far since our version has been off the air we have had the following covers from the two finialists: 'Unchained Melody', 'Come on baby light my fire' (yes..that one..you know it always needed to be sung in lounge lizard style)..something else that i had a metal blockout about. This week we having the release of the duet in the form of 'The Long and Winding Road'.

All of them have been number one by the way
