That is absurdly simplistic. Russia came damn close to losing Moscow and if the Germans had not had troops committed elsewhere i,e France, North Africa etc then it is likely they would have taken Moscow and Russia would have gone with it. The fact is that the Allies were hugely interdependant - take one of them out of the equation and who knows how events would have turned out. Hitler made the mistake of fighting a war on two fronts and paid the price.

As for the US being unsuccessful at waging war - by themselves - then it is largely correct. To date invading Greneda is the high point.

At all other times even in the Pacific theatre during WWII other nations played a large part, Britain, Australia and other Commonwealth countries were heavily involved.

Its why Britain tags along - just to make sure you do it right!
