They don't get stuck behind your eye.
I tried to push them up one time and when it hit the top of the eye and I kept sliding it up, the contact started to crumple up and come off the eye. Meaning there is way for it to end up behind your eye.

I found this at some website:
Q. A lens will get lost behind my eye.
A. No. A thin membrane covers your eye and connects to the inside of your eyelids, making this a physical impossibility.
