I agree with both your sentiments exactly.

I knew someone that killed themself and never really felt sad. I felt they made a conscious decision to take easy way out. And I just felt like well Fuck You then..

I guess maybe my own anger.. I was gonna get counseling.. then just got into porn instead..

I do send my condolences, at the loss of a friend, but I guess I just look at it differently then some.
