Well baseball is the national sport and people play it passionaly down there.(true) but most of the baseball players that are in the U.S. come from very poor or impovirished areas aka"the hood" and that's there way out of poverty.
That doesn't speak for the country as a whole I have a house in santiago it's closer to the northern coast that i love to go vaction to. It's a beautiful country but the country's government is so fucked I see why people risk their lives by jumping in a makeshift boat and taking their chances out at sea!!
