Ummmmmm, ok. What did they volunteer for then, a tea party? As a retired Recon Marine I can tell you for a fact that anytime we went on an op, I KNEW there was a decent chance that I wouldn't be coming back. I was prepared for that and I accepted it. I had a job to do and I was going to do it no matter what the cost. So to say that they "didn't volunteer to die" is completely wrong; you take an oath when you inlist that completely contradicts that statement. Honestly, and I'm not trying to be mean but, it's not something that I would expect a civilian to understand.
