As an update:
Melissa is awaiting a decision on the first case. Last week, she went into court, they pretty much proved the police were lying with a few different facts frm testimony on the stand, and the prosecution had to ask for a continuance until yesterday because they knew they fumbled. The trial continued yesterday, Melissa said it was quick, and the judge would review the facts and make a decision within the next 10 days.
At this point we expect it could go either way. The local judge, prosecutors, and police officers work with each other day in and day out, they know each other very well and to them, the court room is nothing more than an office where they show up to work everyday. The judge may just declare guilty not to rock the boat. If that's the case, there will be appeals. We have every consideration and option covered so nothing catches us off guard.
