I'd considered a magazine format for men. I agree with you on that point... If I can come up with a better mainstream idea than adult I'll probably go with that. Simply because the name itself isn't profane, so it'd be easier to market but still give a nod to the dark side

How would you monetize the mainstream side? Just ads or...?

You have quite wider choice of monetizing traffic, from adsense, over buysellads, to clicksor etc.. there are a lot of ppc sponsors, than you have cpa, and if you build nice mailing list ( i don't need to tell you about it) you can sell twitts and facebook promotion as well.. promotion in mainstream and monetizing is near to limitless you just need to find what best fits you. But for example while in adult on regular traffic you can make 0.01$ ppc with adsense on some shitty sites (shitty by my standards) i get around 0.35e ppc -easy money.. If you build community, you can sell accounts, or vip-s or have few lvls of accounts, or even just ask for donation, or sell t-shirts, cups, stuff etc.. as i said just let your imagination guide you. U have great domain over there.
