My twitter account goes dark and I'm not sure what's going on. My largest account has 454K followers - I tweet 99.99999% porn in some fashion or another. I gain on average about 1000 followers per day on the days I DON'T tweet. If I post just one tweet, my follows stop and drop to zero and I actually start losing followers at a rate of 100 or so per day. The new follows will stay at zero for about 5-6 days, at which point it will start gaining followers again. (it doesn't always reset at 5 days, sometimes it's 6... the longest has been 9 days)
I've tweeted on the days that my account is 'dark' and doesn't gain followers. I still get a shit ton of reach just no followers. People still see, favorite and retweet my tweets, I just don't get followers. If I don't tweet for 5-6 days, the followers start rolling in again, but the second I tweet, my follows stop. WTF is going on? Has anybody heard of this?
I have 3 other large accounts and so far none of those are affected. Thinking about starting to incubate another account because of this.
