I'm gonna go with something other than Harley this time around. Much as I loved my last one, I need something different.

Everyday, general purpose... doesn't have to be flashy or covered in chrome... just basically a get-around bike.

Get the new Ducati Monster and have some class. Or the new Honda Interceptor and have a sport touring machine with the emphasis on SPORT but still comfortable to ride, plus legendary Honda reliability.

Personaly I would get an older Ducati Monster 900, change the muffler to a Scorpion carbon fiber pipe and paint the wheels.

I'd like to get a BMW GS 1200, a beast on or off road. Be a great way to spend a few months touring.

BMW S1000RR

As far as sport bikes are concerned, absolutely sick bikes. ABS brakes, traction control, 180whp+ right out of the box and factory air shifter.

For comparison here are dyno #s for all the fastest sport bikes available.

BMW S1000RR 185.5 @ 13,120
Apria RSV4 165 @ 12,400
Ducati 1198S 157.4 @ 9,800
Honda CBR1000RR 170.6 @ 12,290
Yamaha YZF-R1 161.6 @ 12,430
Kawasaki ZX-10R 163.1 @ 12,150
Suzuki GSX-R 1000 168.1 @ 11,900
Kawasaki ZX-14 174 @ 9,400
Suzuki Hayabusa 179.5 @ 9,300

More powerful than a Busa, way lighter and more nimble. It will tear shit up on the street, strip or open track.

BMW's, ducati's are pretty nice... triumph makes a pretty nice bike these days... me personally I like torque so my options won't be that great.. the rice you gotta wind up a bit before you get any power, although the rice dressers are pretty nice these days. I wouldn't get anything less that 1000 cc's

Maxim 82, in line four, shaft driven, and OHHH a pleasure to navigate, I owned three and loved them all till the end. Hot shit today would eat them for breakfast, but I do enjoy the lack of technology and the feel of riding a bike on rails...

Nice bike scooter. Always wanted to build one but have troubles putting anything more complicated the legos together. Currently mine is a Kawasaki zr1100 with Vance and Hines pipes. Cant wait for it to get warmer to bring it back out on the road.

meh - i'd just get a Yamaha XT 660 again. i was happy with my three XTs before and unless you go on a track or do tours for thousands of miles they are perfect for all conditions

Whatever you buy it's got to be a cruising bike. These crotch rockes are for faggots.

Vmax -- a bit dated but it was the ultimate "alt" bike of the late 80's.

V65 Magma -- Fastest production bike in '82, and it was a V4 CRUISER. Sort of shuts the fuck down all the crotch rocket proponents from that era. Do they still make it?

Harleys -- Only for old guys? You people are one thing and one thing only... STUPID. Harley still is and always has been the standard. But only true bike afficionadoes know this. Everyone else is just... an observer.

Seriously, cruiser: http://www.motorcycle.com/specs/cruiser.html
